We are a multi-specialty Coding Department for many of our Surgical Specialty Foundations at Boston Children's Hospital.
For our assigned Foundations, we perform full coding reviews (CPT, ICD-10-CM Diagnoses, Modifiers) and denial resolutions with the insurance carriers.
This Physician Medical Coder will be responsible to:
Perform complex ICD-10 and CPT review and validation or ASA coding for assigned specialty surgeries for specific surgical foundationsEstablish and maintain working relationships with Physicians in order to resolve specific case issues, as well as general questions and or principlesParticipate in coding and reimbursement training programs.
Provide instruction and education to staff on accurate charge entry and medical record documentationDevelop and maintain professional skills and up to date knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues related to coding, documentation and billingParticipate in professional organizations and reviews current literature.
Stay current on all coding and reimbursement rules, regulations, trends and new developmentsMaintain credentials and certifications for CPC on an annual basisTo qualify, you must have:
High School diploma or equivalent required min of 2 years of related experience in Physician coding with specific experience in Coding Validation and/or compliance review in a medical setting is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
