Senior Engineer

Job Description Summary: The Transmission Interconnections and Services group is responsible for the overall management of third-party interconnections on the Eversource transmission system (generation, load, and transmission); the Eversource OASIS site; regional and federal aspects of Distributed Energy Resources; coordination of third party requests to co-locate on existing rights-of-way; and strategic management of the open access transmission tariff (OATT) relative enabling/supporting the company's desired strategy. The region's generation fleet is undergoing a historic transformation. Driven by state and federal policies, coupled with changing economics and capabilities of emerging technologies, the Transmission Interconnections and Services group plays a pivotal role in enabling this transformation. Every year a new record is set with the quantity and complexity of Interconnection Requests. Transmission Interconnections and Services is responsible for interconnection requests affecting any part of Eversource's electric transmission service territory, which stretches across three states in New England. This provides firsthand experience with most of the region's significant projects in development. A Senior Engineer in this group will understand the strategic aspects of the generator/transmission owner interface in the regional wholesale energy markets; develop federal and state regulations addressing transmission interconnections; establish and maintain Eversource policies and procedures for transmission interconnections; negotiate Interconnection Agreements and other contracts with project developers; administer existing interconnection contracts including financial and operational terms and conditions; and finally manage relationships with ISO-NE staff and specific third parties such as generators, utilities, public power and some large customers. Education Baccalaureate degree in engineering is required Master's degree in engineering is desirable Experience A minimum of eight (8) years related experience with at least five (5) years utility experience preferred Prior experience helpful in the broad aspects of power systems planning and operations, power pool operations, emerging power markets, regulatory interfaces with federal and state authorities Prior experience negotiating with individual external companies Prior experience representing/negotiating business interests to an external, regional or industry organization Experience developing written proposals and presentations in a team environment Experience implementing and complying with federal and state rulings and guidelines Experience in working with independent third parties (ISO-NE) to achieve mutually desired goals

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
