Senior Risk Analyst

Job Description Summary: The Senior Risk Analyst has responsibilities for operations and/or business unit risk management functions.  The incumbent is responsible for implementing and enhancing the Enterprise Risk Management process including strategic, operational, financial and capital allocationrisk evaluations. This position can sit in either our Westwood, MA or Berlin, CT office. The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for: Risk identification and working withrisk owners on the assessment, mitigation and monitoring of risks associated with operations and business unit strategies and operations, including capital projects. Preparing reports on the status of identified risks for senior management.  Researching and identifying metrics to monitor progress of mitigation plans and risk status. Educating the assigned organization on the fundamentals of enterprise risk management. Researching emerging risks facing the utility industry. Technical Knowledge/Skill: Knowledge and expertise in enterprise risk management with respect to energy markets, physical energy assets and financial products. Knowledge of finance and analytics. Knowledge of the energy transmission, distribution, and marketing industry, its value chain and key industry issues. Extensive resourcefulness to understand and  define complex, inter-related risk, finance and/or regulatory issues. Must be able to facilitate discussions, gain consensus, develop action plans and drive implementation. Extensive analytical skills including the ability to draw sound conclusions and act decisively. Ability to think and act strategically in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting and/or conflicting priorities. Ability to work effectively with various levels within the organization. Ability to use and apply sound judgment. Strong customer focus and strong team membership as well as team building skills. Ability to institute, where applicable, current best practices in management. Ability and willingness to manage change as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Education: A Bachelor's degree in business or a closely related discipline is required. A Master's level degree in business or a closely related discipline is preferred.  Experience: A minimum of (5) five to (7) seven years of related experiencerequired in the finance, operations, planning and/or risk management areas within the energy industry or other capital intensive industry.  Experience within the regulated electric/gas utility industry is highly preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
